Bee Taechaubol Apologizes To Inter Milan After Aide Compares Fans To 'Rats'

Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol, who is set to invest nearly €500M ($568M) in AC Milan, has "fiercely condemned a tweet by one of his closest business partners who compared Inter fans to rats," according to ESPN. Victor Pablo Dana, an Italian financier based in Dubai who has helped Taechaubol with the deal, "responded to a newspaper article about the city being invaded by five million rodents by tweeting: 'They must be Inter fans.'" The tweet was "deleted after minutes with an apology posted within hours after a number of complaints." Taechaubol "firmly distanced himself from it" by tweeting, "I apologise to the Inter Milan family. Dana's words are not mine. He is not, and never will be, a part of AC Milan. Football is good sportsmanship and respect: what happened was a serious mistake which should not be tolerated" (ESPN, 6/22).
