Marketplace Roundup: Cologne Sharks Extends Deal With RheinEnergie

German Hockey League (DEL) side Cologne Sharks extended its shirt sponsorship deal with utility company RheinEnergie for another season. RheinEnergie, which has been a partner of the club since '99, will continue to be featured on the front of the team's jerseys (Cologne Sharks). ... Living Bread Enterprise "signed a two-year sponsorship deal with Ghanaian Premier League side Asante Kotoko SC." The Kumasi-based bakery "will back the team" with 5% of the company’s sales, equivalent to around GHS40,000 ($10,000) a year, under the terms of the agreement (SOCCEREX, 6/2). ... ManU supporters are "speculating about the appearance of their new kit after a picture emerged on Twitter of Ashley Young purportedly wearing what might be the new home shirt." ManU fans "are eagerly awaiting the first glimpse of their new home kit designed by adidas," which replaced Nike as kit supplier in a £750M, 10-year deal signed last summer. The image on the Internet "shows the white adidas stripes on the shoulder of the home kit, with white cuffs on the end of the sleeve, but it is unknown if this is the real design" (London DAILY MAIL, 6/1).
