STAN WAWRINKA "reacted angrily" on Sunday after an article on the French Open website "mentioned his private life." Wawrinka: "Completely stupid article. It's the official website of a grand slam, so I hope the guy who did that article is not a journalist" (REUTERS, 5/24). ... Argentine second division side Atletico Parana defender CRISTIAN GOMEZ died on his way to hospital after "collapsing on the pitch during a match on Sunday, the second such death to hit Argentine football in 10 days." The 27-year-old Gomez "stumbled several times before falling unconscious" after half an hour of his team's match against Boca Unidos in the northeastern city of Corrientes (REUTERS, 5/24).
