La Liga side Córdoba on Wednesday announced the dismissal of Sporting Dir PEDRO CORDERO. Cordero had one year remaining on his contract, but the club "has not said whether his departure was part of a mutual agreement to rescind the contract or a unilateral decision" (EFE, 5/20). ... EPL side Newcastle United Finance Dir JOHN IRVING "has announced he is to leave" the relegation-threatened club. Irving has "worked at the club for seven years." He will leave the club to "take up a post at Newcastle Airport" (FC BUSINESS, 5/20).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Brasileiro side Fluminense announced on Wednesday that it sacked coach RICARDO DRUBSCKY. Drubscky led the Rio de Janeiro club "for only eight matches this season" (GAZETA PRESS, 5/20). ... CLAUDINEI OLIVEIRA "is no longer the coach" of Brasileiro side Vitória. Oliveira coached the team for "almost two months," or 11 games (ESPN, 5/20). ... Liga MX side Cruz Azul on Tuesday "made official a parting of ways" with Manager LUIS FERNANDO TENA. The club said he "will be replaced in the next few days" (GOAL, 5/19).
