Marketplace Roundup: Brasileiro Side São Paulo Launches Line Of Port Wines

Brasileiro side São Paulo launched a "special line of commemorative Port wines." In partnership with Portuguese wineries, the club's new drink series "celebrates 85 years" since its founding in '30. The collection "can be bought" for R$139 ($45) to R$30,000 ($10,000) (ESTADÃO, 5/20). ... Brasileiro side Corinthians closed a R$3.5M ($1.2M) sponsorship with 99Taxis, which will "stamp its logo" on the club's jerseys, until the end of this year (ESTADÃO, 5/19). ... National Rugby League side Canberra Raiders and major sponsor Huawei will strive to raise money and awareness for cancer research this weekend, by wearing a specially designed jersey for the team's round 11 match against the Bulldogs at GIO Stadium. The jersey will feature the Tour de Cure logo and "Riding to Cure Cancer" message, with the jerseys to be auctioned off post-match through www.allbids.com.au to raise money for the cause (Canberra Raiders). ... Ligue 1 side St. Etienne named insurance company Eovi Mcd Mutuelle as its new shirt sponsor for the '15-16 season, replacing online betting company Winamax. The three-year deal is worth €4.2M ($4.7M) (ISPORTCONNECT, 5/20). ... Scottish Premiership side Dundee United launched its new Nike home kit for the '15-16 season on Tuesday. The club will wear the kit "for the first time this weekend" when it faces Dundee in the last game of the Premiership season (Scotland DAILY RECORD, 5/19).

IN THE SWIM: The Kazan 2015 Organizing Committee unveiled six new national sponsors to support the 16th Int'l Swimming Federation (FINA) World Championships. The partners were revealed in the following categories: cellular communication (Your Mobile Technologies, Letai); fuel supplier (Tatneft-AZS Centre); gym equipment (Sportmaster); language school (EF Corporate Language Learning Solutions in Russia & CIS); shopping mall (IKEA MOS) and media partner (Information Systems BIM radio) (FINA). ... Ligue 1 side Paris St. Germain announced a deal with bottled water company Jolival to create an official spring water. Starting in July, "Paris Saint-Germain fountaine Jolival" will be available in shops around the Paris region, in bottles decorated with the club's colors (SOCCEREX, 5/20). ... European Athletics and SPAR Int'l announced that SPAR, the world's largest organization of independent food retailers, has extended its commitment to athletics on the continent for a further two years, from '17-19. SPAR Int'l has been an int'l partner of European Athletics' major events since '96. The new contract commences in January '17 and will incorporate the following European Athletics events: European Athletics Championships Berlin 2018, European Athletics Indoor Championships Belgrade 2017 and 2019, SPAR European Cross Country Championships 2017, 2018 and 2019 and European Athletics Team Championships 2017, 2018 and 2019 (European Athletics).
