Sony Six Acquires South Asia Telecast Rights For 2015 Copa América

Multi Screen Media's sports channel Sony Six "acquired the live telecast rights to the 2015 edition of Copa América in South Asia," according to INDIAN TELEVISION. The tournament serves as the int'l football championship for South America and "is organized every four years by the CONMEBOL." This year’s tournament "will be held in Chile" from June 11-July 4  and will be telecast on Sony Six and Sony Kix. The Copa América will include "Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay among others." The tournament, which is in its 44th year, will feature 12 teams, including the 10 members of CONMEBOL "and two guest sides from North America -- Mexico and Jamaica" (INDIAN TELEVISION, 5/18).
