Close To 1.5 Million Tune In To Watch Klitschko-Jennings Heavyweight Fight On RTL

German free-to-air TV channel RTL "recorded close to 1.5 million viewers for its live broadcast of the heavyweight fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Bryant Jennings," according to Alexander Krei of DWDL. The fight attracted an average of 1.34 million viewers starting at 5:19am on Sunday. Twenty minutes later, the viewership increased to 1.49 million viewers. The number translated into a market share of 40.1%. In the target demographic 14-49, the fight obtained a market share of 32.7%. The replay of the fight was watched by an average of 2.67 million viewers starting at 10:50am. The figure equaled a market share of 21.3%. In the target demo, Klitschko's win by unanimous decision drew a 20.7% share.

BUNDESLIGA GAMES: German pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland drew 830,000 viewers to its broadcast of Sunday's Bundesliga matchup between Wolfsburg and Mönchengladbach. Saturday's match between Bayern Munich and Hertha Berlin attracted 770,000 viewers. Sunday's game obtained a market share of 5.5% in the target demographic, while the Munich-Berlin game had a 4.3% share in the target demo. Sky's simulcast on Saturday obtained a 14.6% market share as 1.29 million viewers tuned in (DWDL, 4/27).
