Cologne's RheinEnergie Stadium To Remain Host Of Women's German Cup Final

Cologne's RheinEnergie Stadium "is expected to continue to host the women's DFB-Pokal (German Cup) final," according to the SID. The city's current contract with the German Football Federation (DFB) is set to expire this year. DFB Dir Steffi Jones: "We are in positive talks. They will last for several more days, but we hope to reach an agreement and stay in Cologne." Cologne has hosted the women's Cup final since '10. Stagnating attendance figures of around 16,000 led to speculation about moving the game. A total of 10,286 tickets have been sold so far for this year's final between VfL Wolfsburg and Turbine Potsdam on May 1 (SID, 4/22).
