Marketplace Roundup: Turkish Ministry Of Culture & Tourism Partners With Euroleague

Euroleague Basketball announced that the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four will partner with the Turkish Ministry of Culture & Tourism (Euroleague). ... 2nd Bundesliga side FC Nuremberg has extended its sponsorship deal with petroleum company Ernst Braun Mineralöle GmbH. The company will "continue as a third-level club partner" of the club until the end of the '16-17 season. Ernst Braun "uses its association" with FC Nuremberg to promote its Avia chain of gas stations. Avia has been a partner of the team since '10 (SOCCEREX, 4/10). ... Clothing retailers H&M will become a new sponsor of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Hamburg. The new collaboration will be launched in Germany, where the fifth leg of the world's premier show jumping circuit will take place in May. H&M will present a branded fence at the Hamburg event, showcasing the latest collections (LGCT). ... Swiss Super League side FC St. Gallen has renewed its shirt sponsorship deal with the St. Galler Kantonalbank until at least '21. The sponsorship has run since '09, although the bank was also a sponsor of St. Gallen between '97 and '04. The current deal was "due to expire next year, but has been extended prematurely." No precise financial details were available but the club said the partnership is "worth a 'seven-figure sum' on an annual basis" (SOCCEREX, 4/10). ... The Royal Belgian FA "has reportedly agreed a deal for Croky to become the new title sponsor of the Belgian Cup, replacing Corfidis." Belgian potato chip company Croky "will be named as the new title sponsor" of the domestic football cup in a multi-year deal. The new agreement "will mark the end of the seven-year association between the RBFA and Corfidis" (SOCCEREX, 4/10). ... National Women’s Soccer League side Sky Blue FC announced Meridian Health as its title sponsor, with the partnership entering a second year in '15. The announcement also included the official unveil of the '15 Sky Blue kits (Sky Blue). ... LeTV Superphone has been unveiled as the title sponsor of the newly packaged China's Women's Super League, in a deal which will run for the next five years. LeTV had already agreed a deal to be a broadcaster of the competition, "alongside several other Chinese networks, and last month agreed a five-year deal to acquire the global media rights, broadcast production rights and a series of sponsorship rights to the eight-team league." Although the terms of its March deal "entitled it to sell the title sponsorship, LeTV has elected instead to promote its own smartphone product" (TRIBAL FOOTBALL, 4/10).
