More Than 10 Million Watch Munich-Leverkusen Cup Game On ARD

German public broadcaster ARD "recorded more than 10 million viewers for its broadcast of the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) game between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen," according to Sidney Schering of QUOTENMETER. A total of 10.22 million viewers tuned in to watch the game on Wednesday night. The number translated into a market share of 33.9%. In the target demographic 14-49, Bayern's 5-3 win after penalty kicks obtained a 27.9% share as 3.02 million viewers tuned in. Following the game broadcast, ARD showed the highlights for the German Cup quarterfinal between Bielefeld and Mönchengladbach. The recap attracted 6.47 million viewers and had a market share of 39.2%, including 32.9% in the target demographic (QUOTENMETER, 4/9).
