UEFA Europa League Game Broadcast Sets New Season High On Kabel Eins

German free-to-air TV channel kabel eins "set a new season high for its broadcast of the UEFA Europa League match between VfL Wolfsburg and Inter Milan on Thursday evening," according to Kevin Kyburz of QUOTENMETER. Kabel eins' pregame coverage, which started at 8:15pm, attracted 1.38 million viewers and had a 4.3% market share. In the target demographic 14-49, the show obtained a 4.6% share as 530,000 viewers tuned in. With the kickoff the viewership increased to 3.16 million viewers along with 1.22 million in the target demographic. The numbers translated into market shares of 10% and 10.3%, respectively. The halftime analysis recorded 2.39 million viewers and had a 8.3% share. In the target demo, the program had a 8.5% share as 930,000 viewers tuned in. The second half of the game had a market share of 16.1%, as 3.82 million viewers watched the broadcast. In the target demographic, Wolfsburg 2-1 win drew 1.43 million viewers and obtained a 15.3% share (QUOTENMETER, 3/20).

BOXING BOUT: QUOTENMETER's Timo Nöthling reported German free-to-air TV channel Sat.1 attracted 2.69 million viewers on Saturday night for its coverage of the light heavyweight fight between Jürgen Brähmer and Robin Krasniqui. The number translated into a market share of 13.6% along with 10.2% in the target demographic (QUOTENMETER, 3/22).
