Serie A Side AC Milan To Engage In Investment Talks With Arabian Consortium

An Arabian consortium is "set to begin talks over investing" in Serie A side AC Milan, according to Marc Mayo of FORZA ITALIAN FOOTBALL. The club has been linked with groups from Thailand and China in recent months as Owner Silvio Berlusconi "looks for overseas investment to boost the club's cash flow, which is currently running under a typically high wage-bill and a lack of money from European football." The latest group to make contact about its interest in AC Milan is a "consortium from the Arabian Peninsula, according to Tuttosport, with representatives due to hold a meeting with Berlusconi at some point in mid-April." It is known that "certain consortium affiliates" are family members of Man City Owner Sheikh Mansour, "which may give a taster as to the wealth that this group possess" (FORZA ITALIAN FOOTBALL, 3/13).
