More Than 4.5 Million Tune In To Watch German Cup Game On ARD

German public broadcaster ARD "recorded more than four-and-a-half million viewers for its broadcast of the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) game between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Kickers Offenbach," according to Manuel Weis of QUOTENMETER. The round of 16 matchup attracted 4.67 million viewers on Wednesday evening. The number translated into a market share of 15.1%. In the target demographic, 14-49, Gladbach's 2-0 win obtained a 10.9% share. Wednesday's broadcast did not come close to Tuesday's season high of 7.67 million viewers (QUOTENMETER, 3/5).

CRICKET CRAZY: INDIAN TELEVISION reported a "whopping" 257 million fans "tuned in to support Team India's bid to retain cricket's most coveted prize," as the team scored its first ever victory against South Africa in a World Cup match. The match had a 12.9 rating across Star network including DD, with a 10.5 rating on Star network and a 2.4 rating on DD (INDIAN TELEVISION, 3/5).
