Bundesliga Side SC Paderborn Reports €2.6M Profit For Year Ending Dec. 31

Bundesliga side SC Paderborn reported a profit of €2.6M for the year ending Dec. 31. As a result the club was able to reduce its negative capital to €2.1M. During its first season in the top flight, Paderborn was able pay of its liabilities in the amount of €3.7M. Except for its loan from the Paderborn Stadium Operation Group, the club is debt free. SC Paderborn Exec Chair Elmar Volkmann said that the club had a profit of €107,878 during the ’13-14 season. However, it reported an accumulated loss of €4.7M. Due to its promotion to the Bundesliga, those numbers have drastically improved. Volkmann expects that Paderborn will have taken care of its complete negative capital by June 30. Volkmann: "It will be the first time in the club’s history."

TAKE TWO: Paderborn and telecom service provider Mediacom have extended their cooperation for another two years. Mediacom decided to increase its sponsorship of the club and will become a Platin-Partner of team. The company will receive more presence in and around the stadion. In addition, Mediacom’s logo will be on board in camera view. The deal was brokered by Paderborn’s marketing partner Infront and is also valid for the 2nd Bundesliga (SC Paderborn).
