Reliance Communications Offers Free Twitter Throughout Cricket World Cup

Indian billionaire Anil Ambani-owned Reliance Communications on Tuesday inked a deal with Twitter to "allow its subscribers to access it for free and stay connected and engaged" during the six-week Int'l Cricket Council World Cup 2015 tournament, according to the ECONOMIC TIMES. This service also allows customers who do not have a Twitter account to "access cricket-related tweets by logging on to www.rcom.co.in/cricket on their mobile phones throughout the duration of this global event," which started Friday and will run until March 31. The company said that it will "also encourage users outside the Reliance network to participate in various interactive contests on Twitter" on its account @RelianceMobile (ECONOMIC TIMES, 2/17).
