Facility Notes: Fukushima Prefecture, Japan FA Plan To Partially Reopen J-Village

Fukushima Prefecture and the Japan FA "plan to partially reopen" the J-Village national football training center in July '18 nine months ahead of schedule. A committee including the prefectural government and the association will finalize the plan Thursday to reopen two of the 10 football courts "and a central building for lodging in 2018" (KYODO, 1/28). ... In "a fresh move" to promote the development of China's youth football, Chinese real estate developer Evergrande Group announced on Wednesday that it will open a football school in the Netherlands. It "was the group's second overseas outreach, following the opening of a similar school in Madrid, Spain, last year." The Dutch branch school "was a cooperative project between Evergrande and Cruyff Football," a football training organization created by former Dutch player and coach Johan Cruyff (CHINA DAILY, 1/28).
