Star Sports To Broadcast Int'l Cricket Council World Cup In Six Languages

The World Cup 2015 "will be telecast live on Star Sports network in six languages," according to the PTI. The tournament "will be broadcast in Hindi, English, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali." Star Sports, India's leading sports broadcaster, "unveiled its youth-centric campaign titled, #wontgiveitback, for the upcoming world cup." The campaign, the second in a series to promote the event, "will set the stage for an unparalleled marketing blitz" by the broadcaster. The campaign "will be unleashed by a multi-media blitzkrieg across Star network supported by digital, print, radio and outdoor" (PTI, 1/24).
