AC Milan Dir Galliani Asks FIGC President For Goal-Line Technology In Serie A

AC Milan Dir Adriano Galliani has written to Italian Football Federation (FIGC) President Carlo Tavecchio "strenuously asking for goal-line technology to be introduced in Serie A," according to FOOTBALL ITALIA. Galliani's letter "follows the heated debate after Adil Rami's ‘phantom goal’ was disallowed against Udinese on Sunday." The Rossoneri "are throwing their full weight into the question of whether Serie A should follow the Premier League's example and introduce goal-line technology." Galliani's letter said, “I have no doubt that it is time for Serie A to equip itself with a technological system that allows for safe and accurate readings of episodes of this kind." Milan co-CEO Barbara Berlusconi "already expressed solidarity with this message and confirmed that the club is in line with Galliani on the topic" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 12/2).
