Czech FA Chief Miroslav Pelta Sets Up Succession Plan For Baumit Jablonec

Czech businessman Miroslav Pelta has said he plans to "hand over control of top tier club FK Baumit Jablonec, in which he holds a 80% stake, to a new investor," according to Jaroslaw Adamowski of INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL. The sale could "also solve a potential conflict of interest" for Pelta, who is also the president of the Czech FA (FACR). Pelta said that the talks "could be finalised shortly." He said, "I'm in the final phase of transferring shares. But it is not simply about transferring stock to someone else. The club needs real investors which have the necessary funds. The involved people are known in the circles of sport and business." In addition to Pelta's 80% stake in the club, the remaining 20% of the shares in Baumit "are owned by a local association." The amount of the potential deal "was not disclosed by Pelta" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 11/21).
