African Handball Confederation Suspends All Organizational Activities Due To Ebola Fears

The African Handball Confederation (CAHB) has "decided to suspend all continental and regional activities due to the Ebola outbreak," according to AFRICA TOP SPORTS. This decision of the African handball governing body, which will be complying with WHO recommendations, is motivated by the "concern that organizational events could become propagation channels" of the Ebola virus. As a precaution, Burkina Faso canceled the next Tour du Faso. Morocco, which was granted a deferral of the first African Cup of cycling, would like the Confederation of African Football to postpone the 2015 Africa Cup that will be held in Morocco and is slated to start on Jan. 17. The suspension by the CAHB would "be lifted if the epidemic improves" (AFRICA TOP SPORTS, 10/23).
