Aintree Racecourse To Give Free Access To Liverpool Community For Becher Chase

Aintree Racecourse "is set to provide free access to the Merseyside community for the Betfred Becher Chase raceday in December," according to Chris Wright of the LIVERPOOL ECHO. In an initiative supported by the industry’s broadcaster Racing UK, the Liverpool course "will be giving free access to people in the local community" on Dec. 6 -- while the track "will also launch its new Community Programme on the same day." Becher Chase Aintree "will open its gates to the people of Merseyside to show its commitment and gratitude to the local community." As well as the Becher Chase there is also the Betfred Grand Sefton -- also run over the big Aintree fences -- and there "will also be plenty of activity off the track." The Community Program "will aim to provide opportunities and make a difference to children and adults in Merseyside" (LIVERPOOL ECHO, 10/19).
