There "are very few tickets remaining for the quarterfinals, especially for the games that will be played in Madrid." The Lithuania-Turkey and Slovenia-U.S. games are scheduled for Tuesday in Barcelona, while Serbia-Brazil and France-Spain will be played Wednesday in Madrid (AS, 9/8). ... The Indian Open, which skipped an edition in '14, will be "jointly sanctioned by the Asian Tour and European Tour" in '15. The event, scheduled to take place from Feb. 19-22, will "carry a
purse" of $1.5M. The
championship will be promoted by Nimbus Sport, which has "extended its
partnership with the Indian Golf Union" to manage and promote the

PCB CLEARS LAHORE LIONS: The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday said that the Lahore Lions have "been issued visa and clearance for the tournament," ending "days of speculation" on whether the team would play in
the upcoming Champions League Twenty20 in India. A PCB official said, "The Indian High Commission has issued visas and we have received the
tickets for the Lahore Lions to travel to India on schedule on
September 9" (PTI, 9/8). ... Three people, "including two boys aged eight and 13, were killed when a
car ploughed into spectators at a rally event in northern Portugal on Sunday, firefighters said." A
50-year-old woman "also lost her life when the car veered off the track
following a sharp bend after it had crossed the finishing line at the
