Bild Launches YouTube Channel As Part Of Bundesliga Effort To Attract Younger Audiences

Germany's Bild newspaper "will offer its short summaries of Bundesliga games on a dedicated YouTube channel starting immediately," according to Alexander Krei of DWDL. In addition, Bild "launched a recap Bundesliga show this week that takes a look at the previous matchweek." Bild "has been offering summaries of Bundesliga games for a year." Now, users "will be able to to watch close to two-minute summaries also on a dedicated 'Bundesliga bei Bild' YouTube channel." The clips "will be available every Monday at 12am." To watch the videos, users "will need a 'Bild Plus' subscription." Bild Plus "will continue to offer full versions of the game summaries, which have a length of around six minutes." Digital Bild KG Managing Dir Stefan Betzold said, "We are opening up an additional viewing channel for our content with the YouTube presence. With it, we want to further attract a younger target audience for 'Bild' and our Bundesliga offer" (DWDL, 8/26).
