Media Notes: MP & Silva Wins 2014 Gulf Cup Of Nations Exclusive Media, Marketing Rights

MP & Silva was appointed by the Saudi Arabia Football Federation as the official media rights partner for the 2014 Gulf Cup of Nations -- the Arabian football competition that will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from Nov. 13-26. The deal gives MP & Silva the exclusive rights to distribute the Gulf Cup media rights to all devices and platforms, covering all territories domestically and internationally. The partnership also includes exclusive production and sponsorship rights (MP & Silva). ... Czech Republic pay-TV broadcaster Digi "has gained the rights to the English Premier League." The rights were acquired in a sublicensing deal with telecom company Slovak Telekom, which holds "the rights to show EPL matches in Slovakia and Czech Republic until 2016" (SOCCEREX, 8/18). ... The Int'l Cycling Union (UCI) launched a new website as part of its aim to connect with new audiences around the world and grow the profile of cycling globally. The website, which provides exclusive news, broadcast footage and a comprehensive results service from events across all cycling disciplines, also features sections on advocacy (Cycling for All), women’s cycling and global development (UCI).
