Facility Notes: ANZ Stadium Launches Bid To Host Super Rugby NSW Waratahs Games

ANZ Stadium has launched a "late bid" to secure the license to operate Super Rugby side NSW Waratahs, which "would see the team relocate from Allianz Stadium to Homebush." A stadium industry source said that the company that manages ANZ Stadium, Stadium Australia Operations, "began discussions" with the Australian Rugby Union and the Waratahs several weeks ago. An ANZ Stadium spokesperson "would not comment on the Waratahs' licence, but confirmed they were in discussions about extending their hiring arrangement with NSW beyond next year" (THE AUSTRALIAN, 8/15). ... The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has unveiled plans for its first golf resort in China. The Ritz-Carlton, Mission Hills is scheduled to open in late '15. Developed by the Mission Hills Golf Club and managed by The Ritz-Carlton, the 201-room resort includes 21 private villas and a dedicated club house. The Haikou Mission Hills Golf Club project includes 10 world-class golf courses (Ritz-Carlton).
