IN GERMANY: DWDL's Uwe Mantel reported German public broadcaster ZDF attracted 3.22 million viewers to its broadcast of the UEFA Super Cup. The number translated into a market share of 12%. In the target demographic 14-49, the game obtained a market share of 9.1%. Prior to the football coverage, ZDF showed the first day of competition of the European Athletics Championship. The coverage, which started shortly after 10am, was watched by an average of 780,000 viewers and had a market share of 11.6%. ZDF's afternoon coverage attracted 2.31 million viewers and recorded an 11% share starting at 6pm.
