South Korean FA Technical Chief Lee Yong-Soo Looking To Name New Coach By September

South Korean FA technical chief Lee Yong-soo vowed on Monday to "name a new national team coach before friendlies scheduled in September," according to Nam Hyun-woo of the KOREA TIMES. Lee: "Since there is not enough time before the September's games, I'm not 100 percent sure but I hope I will name a new coach and let him at least watch the friendly matches." Lee also said he will "allow the new coach to lead the national team until the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but hinted that the contract can be changed at any time." He added, "When it comes to a national team's coach position, it is difficult for him to complete his term, because the contract is always affected by the result of matches." Lee also stressed that "one of the most important qualifications for the job will be successful experiences at a club or international level, regardless of whether the new boss is a Korean or foreigner" (KOREA TIMES, 7/28).
