Facility Notes: Crocus Group Begins Work On Kaliningrad, Rostov World Cup Stadiums

Azerbaijani businessman Araz Agalarov's Crocus Group has started building stadiums for the 2018 World Cup in Kaliningrad and Rostov. News Azerbaijan reported that each stadium will cost more than $15.2B. The stadiums will have seats for 45,000 spectators (VESTNIK KAVKAZA, 7/22). ... RDS Arena and Irish rugby side Leinster have announced an open int'l two-stage architectural competition for a new multi-purpose arena in the heart of Dublin 4. The ambition is to create a venue that will increase the current stadium capacity from 18,500 to 25,000 and enhance the current facilities for Leinster home games, the RDS Dublin Horse Show and other events (RIAI).
