More Than 28 Million Watch Germany-Algeria World Cup Match On ZDF

German public broadcaster ZDF "attracted more than 28 million viewers to its broadcast of the Germany-Algeria World Cup match on Monday," according to Manuel Weis of QUOTENMETER. A total of 28.21 million viewers tuned in to watch the game starting at 10pm. The number translated into a market share of 85.1%. Monday's market share beat out the previous best of 84.2%, which was set during the game between Germany and the U.S. on Thursday. In the target demographic 14-49, Germany's 2-1 victory in extra time was watched by 12.7 million vieweres and had an 87.6% share. Monday's early game between France and Nigeria, which started at 6pm, attracted 11.5 million viewers and had a 50.3% share. In the target demographic, France's 2-0 win obtained a 50% share (QUOTENMETER, 7/1).
