HBL Club HBW Balingen-Weilstetten Relieved After Court Grants Injunction

German handball club HBW Balingen-Weilstetten "has reacted with relief to the legal success in its fight for a Handball Bundesliga (HBL) license," according to the DPA. HBW Managing Dir Bernd Karrer said that "the gratitude of the handball club is especially directed at its legal partners." The Dortmund District Court on Monday "granted an injunction of the club against the ruling of the HBL's court of arbitration." The HBL's court of arbitration "awarded indebted HBL club HSV Hamburg with a license under certain requirements that the club had to fulfill by 5pm on Tuesday." Balingen-Weilstetten "was relegated from the Bundesliga on athletic reasons" (DPA, 1/7).
