Football Federation Australia Completes Sale Of Western Sydney Wanderers' A-League License

Football Federation Australia has confirmed that the "sale of the A-League licence for the Western Sydney Wanderers club is complete," according to the AAP. The Wanderers license is "now held by a business consortium" that includes Primo Group CEO Paul Lederer, Sabre Sports United Dir Jefferson Cheng, Pirtek Dir & Int'l Business Head Glenn Duncan and David Slade, a partner in the Australian branch of U.K. retail chain Topshop-Topman. Lederer "assumes the role of chairman of the club with John Tsatsimas the CEO." The Wanderers, A-League "grand final runners-up in their opening two seasons, had been controlled and run by the FFA since inception" (AAP, 6/30).
