World Cup Games Attract Top Ratings On German Public Broadcaster ARD

German public broadcaster ARD "obtained market shares of more than 40% for its broadcasts of Wednesday's World Cup games," according to Manuel Weis of QUOTENMETER. The game between Ecuador and France attracted 9.26 million viewers starting at 10pm. The number translated into a market share of 41%. In the target demographic 14-49, the 0-0 draw obtained a market share of 39.9%. The match between Switzerland and Honduras was watched by 9.8 million viewers and had a 40% share. In the target demographic, Switzerland's 3-0 victory obtained a 39% share. In addition, a total of 8.61 million viewers tuned in to watch the game between Argentina and Nigeria. The game obtained market shares of 40.3% and 39.8% in the target demographic. The in-game updates of Bosnia and Herzegovina against Iran were watched by 9.68 million viewers (QUOTENMETER, 6/26).
