Real Madrid Tops UEFA's Champions League Financial Distribution At €57.4M

Champions League winners Real Madrid secured the highest payment from the event at €57.4M, according to figures released by UEFA on Wednesday. In total, the 32 teams competing in the event shared €904M in payments from UEFA in '13-14, matching the record set last season. Paris St. Germain, which exited in the quarterfinals, received the second-highest payout at €54.4M, followed by Atlético Madrid at €50M. Also collecting more than €40M were ManU, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Barcelona. Real Madrid received the standard €8.6M participation bonus, €20.5M from the market pool and more than €28M ($38M) in performance bonuses, including €10.5M for the final victory (UEFA).
