Marketplace Roundup: BBL Champion Bayern Munich Signs Deal With Ticketmaster

Newly crowned Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) champion Bayern Munich has signed a deal with Ticketmaster to become the club's official ticketing partner starting with the '14-15 season (Bayern Munich Basketball). ... L.A.-based CAA Sports Consulting "has acquired experiential marketing firm PGW." CAA "will work across all areas of the agency, it will primarily service CAA Sports Consulting (headed by Greg Luckman) to create innovative marketing solutions (such as guerilla and grassroots campaigns, live event production and mobile programs) for its clients, which include JPMorgan Chase, Emirates, Time Warner Cable and Guinness" (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 6/23). ... Conference Premier side FC Halifax Town has signed a kit sponsorship deal with adidas for the '14-15 season (FC Halifax Town). ... Glasgow 2014 unveiled Genius Gluten Free as the official provider of gluten free baked products at the Commonwealth Games. Genius will feature at the giant food village within the Glasgow Green Live Zone, known as "The Kitchen" (Glasgow 2014). ... Unilever's Sure deodorant brand "has created a tactical ad that plays on a new phenomenon in football, the referee's white spray," first seen by U.K. audiences during the World Cup. The ad by DLKW Lowe "references the white spray referees are using at the World Cup" to stop the opposition edging too near the attackers during a free kick. The "marks vanish after a short period" (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 6/23).
