Romania Liga 1 side Steaua Bucharest appointed former Spanish player CONSTANTIN GALCA coach. Galca agreed to a two-year contract to succeed LAURENTIU REGHECAMPF, "who leaves behind a squad who have won two consecutive Romanian League titles" (FOOTBALL ESPANA, 6/3). ... SERGI BARJUÁN "has been chosen as the new coach" of Real Betis, which will compete in the Spanish second division next season (AS, 6/4). ...
