BT Sport Signs Two-Year Deal To Broadcast Caribbean Premier League T20 Tournament

BT Sport has secured a two-year broadcast rights deal in the U.K. and Ireland for the Caribbean Premier League T20 tournament. Ashes-winning former England off-spinner Graeme Swann will form part of the commentary team. BT Sport will broadcast live prime-time TV coverage of all 30 matches in the tournament, which starts on July 11 on BT Sport2 with a match between Amazon Warriors and Hawksbills in Grenada. The event concludes Aug. 16. Each match will be repeated as a one-hour highlights show throughout the tournament. The tournament features six teams playing in eight venues including Guyana, Barbados, Grenada, Antigua, Trinidad, Jamaica, St. Lucia and St. Kitts. Each team plays each other in a league format, with the top four teams progressing to a playoff phase. It will feature Kevin Pietersen, Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo (BT Sport).
