Spanish Club Osasuna Has 15 Days To Create Plan For Repayment Of $55M It Owes Taxman

La Liga side Osasuna, which has been relegated to the Spanish second division for next season, "has to present within the next 15 days an economic viability plan guaranteeing the payment of its debt to Spanish tax authorities," according to the EFE. A decision was made in "a meeting with the Spanish tax authorities that Osasuna has 15 days to produce a plan for repaying" the club's debt of approximately €40M ($54.6M) to Spain's tax authorities. It "was indicated that Osasuna President Miguel Archanco agreed to produce a definitive viability plan within 15 days." The club also has outstanding debt in payment to players and staff that "amounts to a sum" of around €7M ($9.5M) (AS, 5/22).
