Glasgow 2014 Team Sports, Ceremonies Tickets To Go Back On Sale Wednesday

Tickets for team sports and ceremonies "will be the first available when Commonwealth Games tickets go back on sale in a phased release from Wednesday," according to the Scotland DAILY RECORD. Organizers are taking a "phased approach" to manage demand on the website after it was hit by problems at the initial launch last week. Tickets will go back on sale over three days from 10am on Wednesday "after extensive investigations and tests by Ticketmaster, Glasgow 2014's official ticketing agent." Glasgow 2014 CEO David Grevemberg said, "From Wednesday we will be in the business of ensuring remaining tickets are sold and that thousands more people can begin to look forward to experiencing the excitement of the Games." Ticketmaster U.K. Chair Chris Edmonds said, "We have been working tirelessly to ensure that we have checked, tested and tested again every component of the technical infrastructure supporting the ticketing website. We are confident that all customers will have a much improved customer experience this time around" (DAILY RECORD, 5/19).
