Filiol replaces HEATHER BOWLER, who left after seven years to work at the Women's Tennis Association in London (Eurosport). ... League Championship side Reading announced that Commercial Dir BEN WELLS has left the club. Wells was appointed in July. Wells wrote the club's first long-term marketing plan, based on harnessing customer-centric technologies and methodologies (Reading). ... The NBA promoted AMY BROOKS to exec VP, team marketing and business operations. EMILY COLLINS has been promoted to exec VP, global marketing partnerships. They will report to NBA Deputy Commissioner MARK TATUM. Brooks joined the NBA in '05 and held positions in TMBO and global marketing partnerships. Collins has worked in global marketing partnerships and int'l development since '01 (NBA).
TEN-YEAR ITCH: Paddy Power is searching for a new CEO after it announced that PATRICK KENNEDY "would be stepping down." Kennedy "intends to hand over the reins in April, the 10th anniversary of his arrival at Paddy Power." Kennedy said that 10 years "was the most time you should spend in one job." Kennedy: “I have always had a personal view that after 10 years at the helm, change is good, both for the business and the individual.” Although he was undecided what he would do next, Kennedy said that "he would never work for a Paddy Power competitor" (FINANCIAL TIMES, 5/13).
LEAVING A LEGACY: The London Legacy Development Corp. announced that CEO DENNIS HONE will leave at the end of the summer to take up the post of group finance director with Mace. Hone oversaw the transformation of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park following the 2012 London Olympics. Hone secured deals to secure the long-term future of the Olympic stadium and press and broadcast centers (LLDC). Hone will replace Mace Finance Dir DAVID VAUGHN, "who will retire at the end of the year'' having been with the company since '97 (CONSTRUCTION NEWS, 5/13).
