Marketplace Roundup: Osram Releases Video Detailing World Cup Stadium Lighting

Lighting manufacturer Osram released a video detailing the lighting infrastructure at the Arena Corinthians stadium in São Paulo, which will host the opening game of the World Cup. Osram's project includes a 170m x 20m LED panel on the external facade of the stadium. That board will feature 840 LED panels and 34,000 LEDs from Osram subsidiary Traxon. Osram also installed four 30m x 7.5m LED screens inside the stadium. Those screens will display the score and show slow-motion replays as well as interviews (Osram). ... Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) club TBB Trier has extended its premium partnership with brewery Bitburger for another three years. The brewery has been a partner of the club for more than 15 years (TBB Trier). ... The Caterham F1 Team announced that int'l semiconductor company Silanna has joined the team as an official partner (Caterham F1). ... EPL side Stoke City reached an agreement with Skins to become the club's official compression partner. It is believed to be the first agreement of its kind in English football. The three-year partnership deal will commence at the start of next season. Skins will supply base layer garments to the club's first team and academy players and staff (Stoke City). ... The FA of Singapore and RHB Bank Berhard "penned a new three-year deal as title sponsors of the Singapore Cup last Saturday." It will be "the 10th year of the bank's sponsorship of Singapore club football's biggest knockout competition" (NEW PAPER, 5/9).
