Olympic Notes: Nanjing 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games Mark 100-Day Countdown

The Nanjing 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games marked the 100-day countdown on Thursday "as preparation for the YOG has entered its final stretch." Nanjing 2014 Organizing Committee Chair Yang Weize: "Venue construction and renovation is coming to an end. At the 35 competition and training venues, all fixed facilities have been in place by April 30 and the temporary facilities will be completed before June 30. The Youth Olympic Village has been delivered for use at the end of April." Yang said that "rehearsals of the opening and closing ceremonies are carried out smoothly" (XINHUA, 5/8). ... A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Wednesday at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia between the NOCC and Anvaya, a non-profit organization "aimed at assisting Cambodians based abroad who want to relocate to the Kingdom and help the country develop" (PHNOM PENH POST, 5/8).
