Badminton Asia Championships Sees 80% Increase In Broadcast Partnerships

The Badminton Asia Confederation secured the highest number of broadcast deals across Asia for the region's premium int'l tournament, the Badminton Asia Championships 2014. The broadcast saw an increase of 80% over '13 in the numbers of platforms covering the event, which also saw the event being broadcast in six new territories. The event, held in Grimcheon, Korea, was telecast across 14 major badminton markets and broadcast on major pay-TV broadcasters in South Korea (SBS), China (PPTV, Tencent, GuangdongTV, Guangzhou TV), Malaysia (Astro), Thailand (TrueVisions), Indonesia (beIN Sports), India (Ten Sports), Laos (TrueVisions), Cambodia (TrueVisions), Myanmar (Skynet) and the Philippines (Solar Entertainment, beIN Sports) (BAC).
