Former Valencia Player David Albelda Links Up With Potential Buyer Cerberus Capital

Former La Liga side Valencia player David Albelda "was contacted by representatives of the U.S.-based investment firm Cerberus Capital Management," which is bidding to buy the club, according to Julián Montoro of SUPERDEPORTE. Cerberus contacted Albelda "asking him to be the Valencian face of its sporting project." Albelda "considered for a few days and decided to say yes." He was "present during Cerberus' presentation of its project to the committee managing the Valencia sale on Monday." What Albelda "was able to explain was some ideas he has in mind that are in agreement with the leaders of the project."
