Standard Chartered Signs New Three-Year, $8.3M Deal With Singapore Marathon

The Singapore Marathon "will continue to be under Standard Chartered's banner," after the bank announced on Monday that "it will continue to be title sponsors of the annual race," according to May Chen of the STRAITS TIMES. Standard Chartered Bank will continue to work with event owner Sport Singapore and event organizer Spectrum Worldwide to run the event until '16, in a new three-year deal worth S$10.5M ($8.3M). SCB's previous deal, a three-year partnership worth S$9.75M, "ran out after last year's edition." The bank's name "has become synonymous with the Singapore marathon, having been title sponsors" since '02 (STRAITS TIMES, 4/21).
