Marketplace Roundup: FC Schalke Extends Deals With Local Banks Until 2018

Bundesliga club FC Schalke has extended its partnerships with local banks Volksbank Ruhr-Mitte and VR-Bank Westmünsterland. The two banks, which have been partners of the club since '03, extended their respective deals for another four years until June 30, 2018 (FC Schalke). ... Bundesliga club SC Freiburg has renewed its premium partnership with German theme park Europa Park for another two years. The park has been a partner of the club for 22 years and a premium partner for the last five (SC Freiburg). ... Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille "has signed a new sponsorship deal with Swiss watchmaker Rodania to become the club's official watch." The deal will run until '17 (SPORT, 4/8). ... Brazilian club Santos has "agreed a short-term shirt sponsorship deal" with canned fish brand Gomes da Costa. The company's logo "will appear on the back of the Santos shirt" during this month’s finals of the state championship, the Campeonato Paulista. It will also "appear on the players’ matchday shorts" in the game, which will be played against Ituano on April 13 (SOCCEREX, 4/8). ... Baked goods company Chipita has become an official partner of this year's Euroleague Final Four, making its 7DAYS brand the official snack of the May 16-18 event in Milan (Euroleague).
