Local Politician Withdraws Political, Economic Support For Argentine Club Independiente
Argentine labor leader Hugo Moyano on Monday "withdrew his political and economic support" for Argentine second division side Independiente, according to LOS ANDES. Moyano said, "For me, the agreement we had reached was not working, and it is over." Moyano is "influential at Independiente" through the Independent Group (AI), which is "currently clashing with the club." Moyano "demanded the resignation of Independiente President Javier Cantero." Moyano: "[Cantero] has to go, if an agreement is not reached it is because of the conditions put forth by the president" (LOS ANDES, 4/7).
