Mexican Cinema Chain Cinépolis To Broadcast 30 World Cup Matches In 70 Cities

Mexico's Cinépolis, the world's fourth-largest cinema chain, bought from broadcaster Televisa the rights to "air 30 World Cup matches at 200 theaters in 70 Mexican cities this summer," according to EL ECONOMISTA. The 30 matches include the World Cup opener between Brazil and Croatia on June 12. Cinépolis will carry the Mexican national team's three first round matches against Cameroon, Brazil and Croatia, as well as the World Cup's semifinals and the final on July 13 (EL ECONOMISTA, 3/20).
