Colombian pop star SHAKIRA has recorded a "second official World Cup song after the superhit 'Waka Waka South Africa' anthem" back in '10. Shakira "penned 'La La La' -- a reworked version of new song Dare," for this summer's event (PTI, 3/23). ... Motorsports governing body FIA said that the Red Bull F1 team's appeal against DANIEL RICCIARDO's "disqualification from second place in the Australian Grand Prix will be heard on April 14" (BRISBANE TIMES, 3/22). ... The South Korea Olympic Committee has "filed an official complaint" with the Int'l Skating Union over the "composition of the judging panel for the women's figure skating competition at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, where KIM YU-NA surprisingly came in second place." The committee said on Friday that the complaint "demands that the ISU conduct a thorough investigation and urges for reform." The Korean committee did not, however, "complain about the panel's performance nor about the score Kim received" (KOREA JOONGANG DAILY, 3/24).
