Romania's League Association Eyes $137M Broadcast Rights Deal
Romania's league association LPF "is currently negotiating a new broadcasting rights deal for the Liga 1," which is expected to total €100M ($137M) for the next three years, according to Jaroslaw Adamowski of INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL. The negotiations are expected to be completed this month, with several major media players "set to bid for the contract." Romanian Football Federation President Mircea Sandu announced that LPF President Gino Iorgulescu "is in the process of sealing the record high deal for broadcasting the top tier of the country's professional football league."
