Sydney FC CEO Tony Pignata Shoots Down Moving Saturday's Expected Sellout Derby

For the "third time this season, the 'house-full' sign will be raised for the Sydney A-League derby" days before kickoff, but the "fast ticket sales haven't prompted Sydney FC to move future fixtures to the larger venue of ANZ Stadium," according to Dominic Bossi of the SYDNEY MORNING HERALD. Saturday's clash between Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers was "expected to be declared a sellout by Thursday." Sydney FC CEO Tony Pignata is "not looking to move future home derbies from the 45,500-capacity Allianz Stadium at Moore Park to the 83,500-seated ANZ Stadium at Olympic Park despite the high demand." Pignata: "No, we have our agreement to play at Allianz Stadium so we won't be looking to move to ANZ Stadium" (SMH, 3/6).
